You know what I love most about "Christians," (please try to keep up with the sarcasm)... It's their ability to weave, change and roll stories to suit them, all under the guise of the Lord. So one more time for those of you in the cheap seats... babies are not grown for ES cell research. This is not a Stephen King novel and there is no gruesome baby making farm out there where embryos are harvested and women are paid to destroy their unborn baby. These are women who have ELECTED to have an abortion for whatever their justification is, and then have given further written CONSENT for the ES cells to be used for research.
President Obama: "As a person of faith, I believe we are called to care for each other and work to ease human suffering. I believe we have been given the capacity and will to pursue this research -- and the humanity and conscience to do so responsibly."
"We will never undertake this research lightly. We will develop strict guidelines, which we will rigorously enforce, because we cannot ever tolorate misuse or abuse."
